Teamwork Arts, the producer of the iconic annual Jaipur Literature Festival, presented the inaugural JLF Valladolid Spain from June 1 - 4, 2023. The first day was dedicated to presentations in Madrid, followed by three days in Valladolid.
The Jaipur Literature Festival began with the goal of creating a platform for the exploration of Spanish writing. JLF Valladolid Spain will bring together a diverse range of writers, thinkers, artists, and poets to engage in stimulating dialogues and conversations on topics ranging from fashion and design, history, and visual art, to literary fiction and poetry.
The literary festival's10th international extension aims to be "a bridge between the diverse and vibrant literature of Spain and India."
The literary event featured writers, scholars, diplomats, musicians, and actors from Spain and India, including Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, writers Vikram Chandra, Deepti Kapoor, Oscar Pujol, Agustin Paniker, and Pallavi Aiyar, poets Ranjit Hoskote and Raquel Lanseros, foreign affairs expert Ana Palacio, and Portuguese politician Bruno Macaes.
Indian singers Usha Uthup and Vidya Shah, actor Kabir Bedi, and Kutle Khan Project will also perform, including Spanish musicians German Diaz, Raul Olivar Flamenco Trio, Pablo Oliva, and dancer Monica de la Fuente.
