Carnival in Goa also called the “Carnaval”, “Intruz”, “Entrado” is the festival of colors, food, music and dance in the state of Goa. The carnival of Goa is a three day event held in the month of February where you can witness the King Momo Parade, Traditional Goan dances, Delicacies, etc. The Goa carnival 2023 was held from 18th February to 21st February 2023. There are live bands and dances seen on the streets of Goa.

Goa Carnival tickets 

There are no Entry fees for Goa Carnival 2023. You can enjoy the various events at the Goa Carnival at free of cost. However if you wish to attend the Red and Black Dance you will be required to pay INR 100 (Approx).

The King Momo Parade 

The main attraction at the Goa Carnival is the King Momo parade that leads the Carnival.   

Delicious food 

At the Carnival de Goa you can enjoy the tasty and lip-smacking food and the local traditional Goan Delicacies on the streets of Goa. They put extra efforts to make the food more tasty. 

Red and Black Dance 

Red and Black dance is held at the carnival on the last day were you find women dressed in Red tops and black skirts and Men dressed up in red shirts and black pants to perform a coordinated dance. 

How to Reach Goa Carnival

Goa Carnival is held in the state of Goa at 4 major locations: Panaji, Vasco, Margao and Mapusa. You can reach these locations through: 

Flight: You can take a flight to the international airport, The Dabolim International Airport, South Goa. 

Train: There are 2 railway stations in south Goa namely: Margao and Vasco-Da-Gama from where you can connect to the Goa Carnival. 

Road: You can also take private cars or cabs through the NH4A, NH17 that connect Goa to major states of India.
