How to Reach Gun Hill View Point
Trek: If you're a trek lover then you can trek through the dense trees and leaves to reach the top point of Gun Hill. The trek is only about 20 minutes and can be completed easily.
Ropeway: you can also take the ropeway to Gun Hill view point. Ropeway can be taken from Jhula Ghar located on the Mall Road in Mussoorie. Ropeway is also the best way to enjoy the scenic views of Mussoorie.

Gun Hill Ropeway Tickets
You can get tickets directly from the counter at the venue itself. You will have to note the ticket no. mentioned on the ticket and the board available there to enter the ropeway accordingly.
Things to do At Gun Hill
- There are shops where you can find Mussoorie themed souvenirs and other things to shop.
- There are many food places also, you can enjoy having tea and maggi at the view point.
- You can enjoy a few activities on the Gun Hill like shooting balloons, ring - a- ring, bhoot bangla and others.
- You can also take telescopic views of the mountains and the city. There are telescopes available at the Gun Hill View Point for a cost of Rs. 100 per person.
Remember
- Get tickets from the counter early as there is a long waiting queue for the Ropeway.
- Each batch includes 10 people sent at a time in the cable car.
- It takes about 10 - 20 minutes for one ride.
- You can walk down from Library chowk Or Mall road to reach the ropeway starting point that's about a 5 min walk.
- Keep the tickets safely as you will be asked to show while returning back from Gun Hill by ropeway.
