The first floor of Undavalli Caves reveals that it was originally a Buddhist monastery. It is designed in the traditional Buddhist vihara style. You can find three separate sanctuaries for Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
The second floor of the Undavalli Caves has a huge statue of Lord Vishnu in a reclining position. It is a major attraction here. This statue is sculpted from a single granite stone. You can find numerous sculptures and paintings of lions and elephants on the third floor here.
