It's December!!! Time for some art, music and dance Chennai…. This Margazhi -Makkalisai is back with a larger vision of Tamil arts and focus voices.
Margazhiyil Makkalisai is one of the grand music festivals hosting its 6th season in the year 2025 starting from December 24, bringing together diverse folk, indigenous, and contemporary art forms and helping lesser-known artists.
The first edition of Makkalisai in Margazhi took place in December 2020 and featured around 350 artists from across the state. It showcased Art forms such as oppari, gana, hip-hop, rap, and thenmangu at venues like Vani Mahal, Mylapore Fine Arts Club, and Raja Annamalai Mandram.

Things to Explore at Margazhiyil Makkalisai 2025
