The Power of Theatre: How Storee ki Boree is Nurturing Young Minds in Delhi NCR

Some stories are meant to be read. Others deserve to come alive. Bringing stories to life, building confidence and creating a little theatre magic across generations is what “Storee ki Boree” is doing. A Delhi NCR based storytelling theatre group founded by Shraddha Gupta who has experience of over two decades in theatre and storytelling. She believes stories are among the most powerful tools for teaching and human connection.

Over the years, Storee ki Boree has built a diverse body of work, bringing some of the most treasured stories from Indian and international literature to the stage. Their theatrical productions include works of Rabindranath Tagore’s “Kabuliwala”, Munshi Premchand’s “Eidgah”.  Not only that, they are also bringing “Baal Ramlila and Krishna Katha” to children to celebrate the great cultural heritage.

The company has also collaborated with renowned author Sudha Murty to bring one of her most cherished stories to the stage. It created K Se Kahaani, the first official theatrical adaptation of her real-life story, How I Taught My Grandmother to Read. The play beautifully captures the essence of the original story, celebrating the power of education, lifelong learning, and the transformative impact of literacy.
