Located 5 km from Mysore Bus Station, Sand Museum Mysore is the only museum in India dedicated to sand sculptures. It spreads over an area of 13500 square feet. You can find around 150 sculptures in the museum, carved out of 115 truckloads of sand.
Sand Museum Mysore is the brainchild of M.N.Gowri, one of the sand sculptors in India. It hosts sand sculptures depicting 16 different themes, including wildlife, romance, religion, and ancient civilisations.
A Lovebird Play Home is present in the Sand Museum Mysore, where you can enjoy feeding and playing with the birds. You can also find a fish spa and a few shops for purchase within the museum.
