From 29 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, Arunachal Pradesh will hold its first-ever Sunrise Festival in Dong village, Anjaw district.
Dong is famous as the easternmost village in India and the first place in the country to see the morning sun. The festival is planned to draw visitors to this remote region and give them a mix of adventure, culture and nature during the New Year.
